So it’s been awhile since I posted as we’ve been travelling with John’s brother and sister and generally getting through Christmas with John feeling unwell.
John’s cough and breathing have been getting progressively worse. On Wednesday the oncologist rang me to tell me that there is nothing more they can do. She’s not sure how long he has but she’s talking in weeks and months. The tumour has kept growing and is now making its way through his windpipe. The radiotherapy doctor has started treatment as he thinks he can stop it growing for a spell. Not much else to say really has been a shock for all of us.

Thank you for the update on John’s illness.
Right now, it is difficult to be positive or cheerful. Our love goes out to John and you all.
I feel sure that you,the family and clinicians are aiding John as much as you can.
You all have our support. You are showing remarkable care, compassion and fortitude.
Please pass-on our regards to John. Let him know we are always thinking of him.
