Yesterday when I tried to give John water via the feeding tube it just seemed to come out and what didn’t seemed into his lungs. That ended up as another trip to Hutt ED where he spent the day. They x-rayed him then tried putting the tube back in a couple of times. They said his oesophagus is twisted and has degenerated a bit so they can’t get the tube in. He’s been admitted and the gastro team will be operating on him sometime today to either put the feeding tube back using a camera to do it or putting a thing in via his stomach. I have said I thought it would be better to do the stomach thing.
