So it’s been awhile since I’ve updated the blog. John came out of hospital 4 weeks ago and he’s had some falls, I’ve had COVID and he’s still on the feeding tube.
John had scan yesterday and the oncologist is really pleased with progress as the tumour has shrunk significantly. He had chemo today and his last chemo treatment is in two weeks time. They will then scan him again before the radiotherapy treatment is done. This treatment happens every day for a week.
In terms of me and my bionic hip I won the club champs last weekend and my golf is is definitely improving. I even shot an 85 the other week.
Haven’t tried any new recipes we’ll get back into that. Gemma is home tomorrow so will have a full house for a couple of months. Knitting update: have designed a hat which I need to write the pattern up for, finished a cardigan , 1 sock, 1 slipper.

Hi Lisa,
Thank you for the update on John’s progress.
I often think about him but I don’t want to keep pestering you for updates. So thanks.
I know this whole episode is hard for you and the family; you have often let us know.
In addition I’d also like to know what John’s attitude and spirit is like towards others. I know he is not the ‘soft and fluffy’ type. I know he is a very private person.
So how can you describe this?
I also know that John is fortunate to be able to share the love and care of you all.
That’s all from me today . Please tell John he has all our best wishes from Summer and I.
Take care and wish you continued success with your golf!
James and Summer.
