John had a meeting with the neurologist last Wednesday to discuss the radiation treatment. John had done his research on being allowed to drive and discussed this with the doctor. According to the New Zealand Transport Agency where his tumour was you should be ok to drive once it’s removed. The neurologist said that because it was a secondary cancer John is a 100 times more likely to get another tumour in the next 12 months than you or me. John pointed out that he had just had a scan and his brain is clear but the doctor countered that will you can’t see anything under 2mm on the scan. So the summary is no driving for 12 months.
In other cheerful cancer news Dad has taken a turn for the worse and his pancreatic cancer has taken over. They think he has about 2-3 weeks left, he’s at home. I’ve been looking through old photos – which has been nice.

I suppose living with cancer is always going to be difficult. i guess you both already expected bumps along the road. Not being able to drive is frustrating. Chin up……
I am very sorry to hear the sad news about your Dad. You have so much sadness to bear. Chin up………
Best wishes,
Jim & Summer xx

Might be an opportunity to have 3 additional teenage chauffeurs in the house?
I’ll call on WhatsApp when you feel well enough.
