No More Tubes

John had a follow up appointment with the surgeon on Monday and the last of the tubes hanging off him were removed. Still some pretty gnarly scars to be had and he looks like a shadow of his former self. Surgeon said to John that the recovery will be slow and he will get tired as it’s a lot to have gone through in the last few months. He also said John should be able to eat what he likes – though John is a fussy bugger so probably won’t change what he’s currently eating. 😉

It’s Julius’s birthday 18 today. We will probably go to the pub this evening celebrate. Though he couldn’t seem to manage his smoothie this morning – tipped most of it on his face…see below. It’s dry July and this is my last day but I may just buy myself a golden ticket for tonight as it’s not everyday your son reaches drinking age. I’ve managed to raise $1002.65
