John is home for the weekend – back to hospital Sunday night.

The surgeon dealing with fixing the leak said on Friday that it has healed considerably and he hasn’t seen anything like it – the hole was 75% closed last Monday that’s why John needed a procedure that day to remove the vacuum sponge. They are hoping to remove the nose tube on Wednesday and do a gastroscopy this week to check their is no longer a hole. We think that means John may be allowed to eat/drink this week. The next hurdle is making sure his stomach works as it should then his recovery should speed up quite considerably.

The oncologist also gave him good news – there is no sign of the cancer left in him and the tissue cut away showed minimal indicators of cancer – which means no more Chemo!!

I played my first full round in 6 weeks – I was shite but it was nice to be out on the course. Have a nice weekend everyone.
