- John’s still in the ICU at Wellington hospital – they had planned on moving him to the ward today
- He’s staying there because of his elevated heart rate
- They have given him heart medication which has lowered it – was up to 190 yesterday
- His breathing is better – didn’t sound as laboured this morning
- Still on the nose tube to empty his stomach as his stomach isn’t emptying as quickly as it should
- They are going to try feeding him soft foods again today
- He’s had a rough week but now wearing a nice green Celtic coloured robe
- I’m picking his sister Eleanor up from the airport this afternoon and he’s looking forward to seeing her – though it is John so still slightly miserable 🙂
- On the bright side I have been driving into town a lot listening to radio and kids music – quite like the new guy on the radio Lewis Capaldi

Hi Lisa, what a difficult and worrying time for you and the children. Good to hear john’s heart rate has come down and that he’s breathing better, hopefully he’s now on the mend. Could you please tell john eoghan and me are thinking of him, take care, love mary xx
