Chemo today

So chemo went ahead today which is great. They then shipped John out to Lower Hutt hospital today. We are not quite sure what he/we need to do for John to come home. I think it is his mobility is improved ( which he has), he can feed himself (impossible via the feeding tube), and they know he won’t be drinking (challenging), We are hoping he can come home on the weekend. The whole rest home stint and having someone come in once a day seems to have disappeared even though that was offered – weird/ frustrating.

In terms of new recipes that had fallen by the wayside. There have been a cat abscess,, washing machine breaking, dishwasher packing up and adult children with things going on to deal with. But because I’m a weirdo overachiever I decided to recover the dining room chairs – keeps your mind off things.

Recovered some old chairs. Happy with the outcome

  1. I’m just back from China.

Very sorry to know that John and you all still have a battle ahead.

you know as well as myself that John is a tough guy and if anyone will beat this horrible disease, then John will.

In the meantime, you and the family just need to do,what you are all already doing. I’m sure John needs all the support from medicine, hospitals etc.

Its clear that the additional support you all give is invaluable, if difficult at times.

In short,John and you and the family and friends need to continue with the solid work you are all doing.

It is a very trying time at the moment but it will all be worth it sooner than you think. Keep up you positive attitude.

John and all have my deepest respect and gratitude. If you can think of anything that I can do to assist or help; in any way then please tell me.

All my very best wishes ,

    Jim & Summer
