I came home yesterday, I was worried about all the stairs and the surgeon said I could stay another day if I wanted. The thought of another night in hospital didn’t appeal and the physio had signed me off.

I have to say I’ve been feeling really miserable the last few days. It was so painful, the surgeon said “yeah well I’ve done some pretty nasty things to you but it’s a different pain isn’t it”. He’s right it’s a different pain and I have to get use to putting weight on my dodgy leg.

I’ve turned a corner today, feeling much bettter. It’s been easier to do my exercises and I’m much steadier on the stairs.

I received some lovely flowers from my golf buddies yesterday which cheered me up.
